Friendzone is dedicated to strengthening & activating communities through meaningful conversations. Our work in neighbourhoods aims to improve social and mental well-being through:
Developing stronger relationships between residents;
Exploring mutual interests, needs, and ideas to create community within neighbourhoods;
Discovering opportunities for citizen-led action.
We dream of the day when everyone experiences their neighbourhood communities as a friend-zone - where it’s natural to approach another young neighbour to chat, hangout, or ask for help!
We achieve this through designing events, workshops & campaigns to facilitate new connections and the exchange of perspectives.

1. Connect Community
(Neighbourhood Gathering)
Our flagship programme forges friendships within neighbourhoods. By facilitating conversations, we enable participants to connect over similarities, receive mutual support, and gain new views through sharing experiences and advice.

Friendzone event topics are curated and relevant to the cares of young adults. Popular topics include adulting, friendships, hobbies, career development.

Friendzone will take charge of designing publicity material and attracting under-engaged youths in your neighbourhood to attend the event!
Event & Post Event: Small Group Conversations & Neighbourhood Telegram Chat
Through conversation cards, participants discover the strengths, experiences, commonalities and diversity between them; and connect over sharing stories.
Post event, a telegram chat is created as a platform for the community to continue conversations, make offers and requests, and invite each other out!
2. Edusave Engagements
(alternative edusave awards format)
An alternative way to engage and attract youths to collect their Edusave Award. Youths who live in the same neighbourhood can form new connections, build a caring and supportive community over meaningful conversation; and connect with Grassroots Advisers in a personal way.

In line with the theme of awards and achievements, we facilitate conversations and the sharing of opinions between students on their views on success, career pathways, and education.
Community Development 101
(Customised Workshop)
This workshop equips youth volunteers and existing community leaders with the necessary tools and skills to build meaningful, healthy and sustainable communities through facilitated conversations.
We introduce Asset-Based Community Development, a practical approach to community development work that recognises, emphasises and leverages the various assets, both tangible and intangible, that exist in a given community.
